Il 30 e 31 ottobre si è tenuto l’evento Taranto-Ida Viru JTF Cooperation Event, due giornate di confronto e cooperazione tra istituzioni, imprese e centri di ricerca italiani ed estoni, promosse da CTE Calliope.
L’incontro ha rappresentato un momento chiave nel percorso di collaborazione tra le due nazioni, ponendo le basi per un dialogo stabile e una cooperazione concreta nell’ambito della transizione giusta, con l’obiettivo di favorire uno sviluppo sostenibile, innovativo e inclusivo dei territori.
Il momento centrale dell’evento è stata la firma del Memorandum of Understanding tra la città di Taranto e la Contea di Ida Viru. Il patto sancisce una collaborazione strutturata che unisce ricerca, impresa e innovazione, aprendo nuove opportunità di crescita condivisa tra l’area baltica e quella ionica.
L’Estonia, riconosciuta a livello europeo per l’efficace utilizzo dei fondi del Just Transition Fund, porta un’esperienza concreta di riconversione e sviluppo sostenibile che offre spunti e ispirazione per i processi di rigenerazione in atto nel territorio tarantino.
Questo evento segna un ulteriore passo nel percorso di internazionalizzazione e cooperazione che CTE Calliope porta avanti, consolidando il ruolo di Taranto come hub dell’innovazione e ponte tra il Mar Ionio e Mar Baltico
On October 30th and 31st, the Taranto-Ida Viru JTF Cooperation Event took place, two days of dialogue and collaboration between Italian and Estonian institutions, businesses, and research centers, promoted by CTE Calliope.
The event marked a key milestone in the cooperation process between the two nations, laying the foundations for a stable dialogue and concrete collaboration in the framework of the Just Transition, with the goal of fostering sustainable, innovative, and inclusive territorial development.
The highlight of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Taranto and the County of Ida Viru. This agreement establishes a structured partnership that brings together research, business, and innovation, opening new opportunities for shared growth between the Baltic and Ionian regions.
Estonia, recognized at the European level for its effective use of Just Transition Fund resources, brings tangible experience in reconversion and sustainable development, a valuable source of insight and inspiration for the ongoing regeneration processes in the Taranto area.
This event represents another step forward in the path of internationalization and cooperation pursued by CTE Calliope, strengthening Taranto’s role as an innovation hub and bridge between the Ionian and Baltic Seas.
